Eric Schirding is Co-Founder of UWIB Risk & Insurance Solutions and leads the placement of many of the firm’s most complex and sophisticated accounts. He oversees day-to-day operations and human resources while remaining deeply engaged in continuing professional education, with particular focus on Directors & Officers liability, Professional Liability, Employment Practices Liability, and employee benefits for organizations with more than 25 employees.A native of La Cañada, Eric earned his degree in Business Management from California State University, Northridge. He began his insurance career on the underwriting side with a respected carrier before transitioning into the retail brokerage environment, where he built a strong foundation in brokerage operations and client advocacy.Eric joined UWIB in 2009 and played a pivotal role in the firm’s evolution and national expansion, culminating in its formal rebranding in 2022. He specializes in working with middle-market companies, guiding them to improve profitability and resilience through the thoughtful application of Total Cost of Risk (TCOR) principles.Known for his energy, discipline, and client-first mindset, Eric is passionate about building long-term relationships and delivering comprehensive, practical risk management solutions. Outside the office, he and his wife enjoy traveling, sports, and time with friends from their home in Glendale, California.
